Equines

Our Donkey Outreach Project aims to:

*  improve the welfare of working equines in remote areas of the island

*  to provide the local and usually elderly owners with a service essential to their livelihood

WSPA

It all began in 2002 with joint action from WSPA as part of an anti-hobbling project.

GAWF

GAWF provided us in the following years with a visiting team of specialists including an equine vet, dentist and a farrier.

In 2009, aiming to make these specialist team visits more frequent, CAWG organised 2 self funded ones during which over 150 animals were cared for!

Please see our videos for a closer look into this valuable work!

  1. Hello Helena!
fortunately the 4 donkeys and Larry the Lamb are all in one place so if you send us an sms on 6944690368 a couple of days before you would like to visit, we can arrange it!
As for the donations, you can either give a donation while here or through Paypal on the Help page of the website. There are also the bank details and you can specify if you want the funds to be used for the Equine Outreach or the ones we currently foster.
Thank you so much for your kindness,
    Kerenza
