Beauty is still… beautiful!

For the few of you who actually don’t know Beauty’s story, she was found in Kalo Xorio September 2004, emaciated and neglected as seen below.

Annie, a long term supporter of rescue dogs and a huge contributor to the lives of many animals, regardless of whethere they are Brits, Irish or Greekies, fell in love with those big eyes and by July 2005, Beauty was happily rehomed in London!

Recently, one of us had the opportunity to once again visit Beauty and her family!!! And, she is looking just as good as ever, spoilt a bit but still with great Cretan character 😉

Two days and off we go!

The schedule is ready…

half the team is already on Crete, the rest flying out in a day….

…and we are off!

Feliz is ready to go to her forever home!

As you can see from the pictures below Feliz doesn’t show any signs anymore of her skinproblems! There is no guarantee that the Demodex won’t come back,  but let’s be honest here for a minute… what garantuees do we really have in life?! Exactly!

“Flowers” sprinkling!

Due to the warmer weather our Flowers are having trouble with biting flies. So when an ex-intern came to visit us with a friend, to see how we are doing, they deceided to give us a hand to do something about this!

This was, after some resist, much appreciated by Marigold, Yucca, Hebe and Daphne!

Floppy Ears is safe in a fosterhome

Floppy Ears is luckily for some time now safe in a fosterhome on Crete until she can go to her future fosterhome in Holland. From there it will be easier to find her a permanent home as interested people can meet her and will see straight away what a lovely character she has!

We are therefore anxiously looking for a flight escort to Holland!!!

Who knows anybody that will soon be flying to Holland and is willing to escort Floppy Ears to her new life in Tulipland??

We would like to thank her fosterfamily for helping us give Floppy Ears a temporary safe home and the people that donated money for their generosity!

All costs have unfortunately by long not been covered but Floppy Ears is far away from her “puppy-farm-living-on-the-street-loving-all-the-people-not-wanted-by-anyone” future!  That is worth more than you can ever express in Euros! 🙂

Even though for us citizens of Crete it isn’t really, really warm yet, for Larry it was getting too hot already! So some volunteers helped him get rid of his long coat before a generously donated shaving machine arrives from Holland to give the finishing touch!

A beautiful dog for adoption…

Message from a kind and desperate supporter of animal welfare:

I am
taking care of him now but I am leaving to Denmark the 3.rd of May, so
I hope to find him a home before that!

He is a male dog at 7 months old and 17 kilos. He is extremely cute
and kind to humans and other dogs. He is very used to be around
humans. He is just a big puppy.
I took him to the vet and he got a vaccination and treatment against
flles and worms.
